Doctorate in Educational Sciences CDE

General

• To train high-level researchers in the analysis and understanding of the national educational reality with sufficient and up-to-date preparation in the disciplines that make up the field of educational sciences, whose intellectual output serves as support for better and more efficient pedagogical and educational action by the institution and society as a whole.
• To prepare researchers who face the current challenges of complex and constantly evolving societies, working together in global contexts, and in service of the social, technological and democratic improvement of complex societies.
• To promote research lines supported by institutional research units that serve as academic guidance and foundation for the development of doctoral studies, making research the cornerstone of advanced pedagogical, educational and managerial studies.
• To produce ongoing knowledge for the better development of the national educational system in order to respond through teaching and research directed at solving concrete educational problems.
• To train professionals with a humanist spirit, committed to society, capable of promoting scientific research with leadership and critical thinking grounded in ethical principles.

Specific

• To develop pedagogical competencies that allow students to act as innovative agents in higher education teaching.
• To promote innovative pedagogical proposals for higher education, incorporating the contributions of educational sciences in the design, development and evaluation of educational projects and policies.
• To foster the development of relevant management for higher education with responsibility, openness and professional ethics.
