Extension

University Extension
University extension encompasses the set of activities aimed at identifying the problems and demands of society and its environment, coordinating the corresponding transfer actions and reorienting and recreating teaching and research activities based on interaction with that context. In this sense, extension implies reciprocal learning, because the university, by understanding the national reality, enriches and reshapes its entire academic activity.
Extension, therefore, constitutes a bridge between research and teaching activities and the educational demands of society.

Objectives of the university extension policy
- To strengthen the culture of extension in all academic units.
- To disseminate and implement extension action modalities, according to the competencies required in each program.
- To develop university extension in cooperation with public and private organizations through agreements and partnerships.
