Mission

To train professionals and researchers in Business Administration, with ethical awareness and solidarity, contributing to the economic and business development of the country, the validity of the legally established order and stimulating social responsibility and community engagement.

Business Administration Research Lines

The Business Administration program incorporates the following research lines with the purpose of guiding the development of research projects and undergraduate theses articulated with business management and development and technological advances, equally connected with the competencies and skills of the program, fostering the professional growth of students.

1. Business Management, Administration and Development, and Public Management

This research line seeks to develop research projects on business management models and styles, the integration of administrative functions, the application of information technology, business ethics, strategic planning, entrepreneurship and business training, creation of new organizations, business plans, creativity and business innovation, technological change and business restructuring, corporate and environmental social responsibility, service company management, SME management and promotion, quality management and customer service, business organization and business model evaluation, formulation, implementation and execution of social projects, regional and local government management, public finances, NGOs and regional and local development.

2. Human Potential Management and Development

This research line will promote research on topics related to leadership, motivation and communication, the selection and development process of human potential in public and private sector companies, organizational behavior and development, the improvement of administrative-managerial skills, organizational culture and learning, organizational climate, crisis management and conflict resolution in organizations.

3. Sales and Marketing Management

The research line in sales and marketing management will strengthen research projects oriented toward market research, consumer behavior, marketing plans, product and service development, commercialization, advertising and promotion, and e-commerce marketing.

4. Financial Management of Operations and Services

This line will develop research oriented toward strengthening the economic and financial evaluation of companies, financial control, corporate finance, financial risk assessment, capital markets, financial market analysis and risks, procurement and warehouse management, supply and production chains, and quality management.

5. External Market Management   

This line will develop projects on determining demand in the international market for product exports; the analysis and identification of labeling and patenting procedures for exportable products; the analysis and design of logistics systems for the export and import of products; external market research; identification of legal mechanisms for the formation of alliances and export consortiums; identification of information and communication technologies for the commercialization and export of products (e-commerce).

6. Production Management

This line will focus research projects on the influence of production factors on the competitiveness and productivity of companies and proposals for determining the feasibility of incorporating new production technologies.
